Bordj El Kbir means the great fort. It is also named Mustapha Ghazi. It is an ancient Arab fort that was built in the XVth century by Mustapha Ghazi, the architect of Sultan Abou Fares. It was later reinforced by Dragut, a corsair, brothers Barberousse, other famous corsairs and the Spaniards.
